U.S. head coach Pia Sundhage pushed training back 45 minutes this afternoon so the players (and Pia!) could watch the Real Madrid-Bayern Munich game, but when the game went into OT and PKs, the players were on their way to training and then getting ready for training at the field. That’s when Tobin Heath saw on her smart phone that Madrid had lost (see below). Heath is WAY more of a Barca fan, but after her team was eliminated yesterday, she was pulling for Madrid (Yes, we know, that’s not legal in Spain, but Tobin loves the game).
